Avoiding an awful destiny

I'm a graphic designer (and a illustrator) and my most difficult client is ... me. It's been absolutely too difficult to try to make my own graphic profile... So I have none ... or ... now it's starting to take shape without too much thinking and worrying. I'm just going with the creative flow, so to speak. So I'm happy that this morning suddenly made my blog page go into a different visual direction. A much more clear and organized one.

The next step will be to make a flickr portfolio, so that my illustrations can be displayed in the right coloumn here. And to make sales buttons, so that I can have the possibility to sell my own design and illustrated products. And of course I need business cards ...

I've read this amazing, clear quote. But I don't know where, from who, or the correct words. But the essence got stuck, and that is what is important. It's something like: If you don't advertise (I read visualize your self) something awful is going to happen ... nothing!

And that is an awful destiny ... so "I'm singing with the beak I've got" ... and hoping it's going to touch someone. (My latest bird illustration for a magazine, drawn yesterday, copyright: Tone Lileng, 2010).
