There is a "red list" with this kind of information and weither they are a threatened specie or not. Schoolchildren are super inspectors and could be given this list to become wild life agents. So if they see a moose in their neighbourhood, they could check on their list and see if everything is okay, is he in his perfect surroundings, does he have food in reach and so on.
